Hortensia Delgado Maldonado

Hortensia Delgado Maldonado, 77, of Lubbock, Texas passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2026. She was born on December 29, 1948 in Camargo, Mexico to Nieves Delgado and Barbara Marquez. Hortensia was a loving mother and grandmother who loved to cook for her family and friends. She will be missed by all that knew her. She was a Morman by faith.

Those left to cherish her loving memory are her daughters, Margarita Maldonado, Maria Ramirez and husband Valentin, Isabell Salcido and husband Osbaldo, and Anabel Maldonado and husband Cesar Pinon; seventeen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren; two brothers and four sisters.

Hortensia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 51 years, Salome Maldonado, two sons, Ezequiel and Manuel Maldonado, and three siblings.

Funeral services will be held at a later date in Camargo, Mexico where she will be laid to rest next to her loving husband one last time
