Guadalupe Guitron, Sr. 73, of Lubbock, passed away on October 15, 2021. He was born on January 16, 1948, to the late Manuel and Reyna (Barrientos) Guitron, Sr. in Phoenix, Arizona. Guadalupe was a US Army Veteran, who served in the Vietnam War, and was proud to have served his country. He was a very laid-back man who loved helping others. Some of his favorite hobbies were bike riding, and he enjoyed watching the sunrise and set, out on his front porch, with a good cup of coffee in his hand.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Teresa Torres and husband, Joe, and Guadalupe Guitron, Jr.; brothers, Johnny Guitron, Elezar Guitron, Sr., and Jesse Guitron; sisters, Maria Rivera, Lydia Guitron, and Rosie Mata; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Guadalupe is preceded in death by his, parents; and four brothers, Ralph, Oscar, Reynaldo, and Manuel Jr.
Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel with inurnment to follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
