Gregorio "Greg" Rodriguez Alonzo, II, a lifelong resident of Lubbock passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at the age of 40. He was born on November 8, 1980, to the late Juaquin and Beverly (Sandoval) Alonzo. Greg was the "Jack of all trade" he could do anything he set his mind to do. He loved spending time with his entire family, fishing, traveling, going to casinos, buying lotto tickets, listening to music and watching the New England Patriots play football. He married Melissa Lucero on March 25, 2017, in Lubbock, after they had been known as a "couple" since December of 2002. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Melissa Alonzo; three sons, Austin Reed, Michael Lucero and Blake Gonzales; three siblings, Desare Martinez, Christina Alonzo and Victoria Garza and husband John; one grandson, Adyen Lucero; 21 nieces and nephews and 3 more on the way, and several extended family and friends. Greg is preceded in death by his parents Juaquin and Beverly Tijerina – Alonzo, and one sister, Mercedes Alonzo. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021, from 2:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. at House of Angels Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. at House of Angels Funeral home Chapel with burial to follow at City of Lubbock Cemetery.
