Gail Roberts Butler, 66, of Plainview passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, in Lubbock. She was born on May 6, 1955, in Friona, Texas to J.D. and Geneva (Hickerson) Cooper. Gail was a feisty, but strong and powerful woman. She loved whole heartily, if you met her, you loved her. She loved everyone 100%. Gail married Mr. Tommy Butler on January 11, 2022, in Plainview. Gail enjoyed crafting, sewing quilts and reading, she never said no to stopping at a garage sale either. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Tommy Butler; two daughters, Geneva Gonzales and Beverly Gibson and significant other, Gary Sterner; one son, Buddy Gibson and wife Heather; son-in-law, Carlos Gonzales; Brother Jerry Cooper and wife Becky; sister, Patsy Smith and husband Tony; and seven grandchildren. Gail was preceded in death by her parents, J.D. and Geneva Cooper; sister, Barbara Jean Wood; Brother, James Cooper; twin brother, Dale Cooper and one granddaughter, Latrisha Dawn Gartin. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
