Frances Duty, 83 of Shallowater, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023, surrounded but her loving family. She was born on August 22, 1940, Mountain Air, New Mexico. She married Bruce Richard Duty on October 31, 1958, in Lubbock, Texas and together they began their family. Frances was a very artistic lady, she enjoyed painting, doing ceramics, and loved to sew clothes for her children. She even had a very successful vegetable garden and loved to cook. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory are four children, Dianna Wilkins, Tim Duty and wife Emma, David Duty and wife Breanne, Leigh Wolfe and husband James; siblings, Lora Price and husband Delbert, Billie Law, Jo Morris and husband A.B., Debbie Ray and husband Mack, James Gallagher and wife Marty and Brett Gallagher and wife Linda, Paul Hunton and wife Janet; 12 grandchildren, Amber, Paul, Ariana, Angel, Gabriel, Alexa, Emily, Megan, Josh, Shane, Ava, Aiden; ten great grandchildren, Azara, Isidro, Krystyne, Kristopher, Kamron, Ashlyn, Bryson, Addisyn, Adeline; and four great-great grandchildren; Zay, Molly, Cassidy, and Daisy.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Duty, her parents, James and Lois Gallagher.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 27, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home with burial to follow at Ropesville Cemetery in Ropesville, Texas.
