Evelia Padilla de Sanchez, 66, of Tepatitlan, Jalisco, Mexico passed away on April 28, 2022, in Lubbock, Texas. She was born on May 28, 1955, in Tepatitlan Jalisco, Mexico to Jose de Jesus Padilla and Maria Guadalupe Medina. She loved spending time cooking for her family and was a very loving lady, she was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, she will be missed by all that knew her. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Sergio Sanchez, Gustavo Sanchez, Veronica Sanchez, Lorena Sanchez and Cecilia Sanchez, and 11 grandchildren. Evelia was preceded in death by her parents, Jose de Jesus Padilla and Maria Guadalupe Medina, and her husband, Agripin Sanchez. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022, from 4:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. with rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Nació el 28 de mayo de 1955 en Tepatitlán Jalisco, México, hija de José de Jesús Padilla y María Guadalupe Medina. Le encantaba pasar tiempo cocinando para su familia y era una dama muy amorosa, era una esposa, madre y abuela maravillosa, todos los que la conocieron la extrañarán. Quedan para atesorar su memoria sus hijos, Sergio Sánchez, Gustavo Sánchez, Verónica Sánchez, Lorena Sánchez y Cecilia Sánchez, y 11 nietos. A Evelia le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, José de Jesús Padilla y María Guadalupe Medina, y su esposo, Agripin Sánchez. El velorio se llevará a cabo el viernes 29 de abril de 2022, de 4:00 p. m. a 9:00 p. m. con el rezo del rosario a las 7:00 p.m. en la capilla de la casa funeraria House of Angels. La misa funeral se llevará a cabo el sábado 30 de abril de 2022 a las 10:00 a. m. en la Iglesia Católica Our Lady of Guadalupe.
