Evangelina Leija Gebhardt, 64, of brownfield passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024, in Lubbock. She was born in Brownfield to Francisca Gonzales. She graduated from Brownfield High School. Evangelina loved cooking, baking and gardening. Evangelina loved her family and had a caregiver's heart; she took pride in taking care of her mother. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Frances Hernandez; son, Mathew Wayne Flatt; sister, Kathy Alaniz and many loving family and friends that will miss her tremendously.

Evangelina was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Gebhardt; son, Dustin Michael Flatt; stepfather, David Hernandez; sister, Bertha Alicia LaClair; and infant brother, Daniel Leija.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with burial to follow at the Brownfield Cemetery.
