Estevan Limas, 36, of Lubbock, passed away on November 29th, 2021 at 7:07 pm in Lubbock, TX. Estevan was born in Lubbock, TX to Antonia and Santiago Limas on June 10, 1985. He was involved in Football at Cavazos Junior high and he attended and graduated from Lubbock High School in Lubbock. Estevan suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) at the age of 16 almost 20 years ago and fought through adversity to be alive. After his TBI accident he had to re-learn how to talk, sit up, feed and dress himself and how to get around in his wheelchair among many other things. Life was not easy for Estevan and you could never tell because he always had a smile on his face and made sure everyone around him had a good time. He enjoyed many vacations traveling all over the country with his family and never missed a Texas Tech or Dallas Cowboys football game. He was also showered with love at all times by his family including his three older sisters, mother and dad. Estevan is survived by his parents Antonia and Santiago Limas, sisters Lorena James (Kenneth), Mayra Lopez, and Nora Quintana (Matthew), many nephews and nieces who adored him (Thalia, Nathan, Kobe, Aryana, and Preston) and Great nieces (Natalia & Luna). Estevan is preceded in death by his grandparents Rafael and Margarita Goana, Nicolas and Ignacia Limas, uncles Nicolas and Jose Limas and his cousin Juan Gaona. A celebration of his life took place in a private ceremony on Wednesday, December 1st 2021 at House of Angels Funeral Home in Lubbock, Texas.
