Elodia (Perez) Vasquez, 72 of Lubbock passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023. She was born in Mathis, Texas on September 13, 1950, to Blas and Ester (Martinez) Perez, Sr. Elodia had a very outgoing personality and never met a stranger, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She really enjoyed shopping and finding bargains at the local thrift stores. Elodia was known for her cooking and sewing abilities too. She was Catholic by faith.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Lorenzo Vasquez; children, Norma Clardy, Henry Gonzales, Angela Gonzales, Valarie Gonzales, and Dena Gonzales; sisters, Esperanza Chevez and husband Juan, Augustin Puentes and husband Jesus, Ester Munzo and husband Lucio and Evangelina Villazana and husband Odon; brothers, Joe Perez and wife Mary, Blas Perez, Jr. and wife Eva, Juan Perez, and Alberto Perez; 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Elodia was preceded in death by her parents, Blas and Ester Perez, Sr.; sister, Sylvia Gonzales; brothers, Simon Perez, Enrique Perez, and Santos Perez.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 2:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
