Donnie Edwin Adams, 79, of Tahoka passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, in Tahoka, Texas, he was surrounded by his loving family, as he left this old world to meet Jesus in heaven. Donnie was born on February 5, 1942, in Lubbock, Texas to the late Leck and Dorothy Adams. He graduated from Abernathy high School in 1961. He moved to Arlington and resided there until 2005. He was a freight hauling truck driver. He moved to Tahoka in 2005 after retiring. Donnie married Nancy Monk in 2014 in Midland, Texas. Donnie enjoyed building Model airplanes, yard landscaping, loving his great grandkids and watching old movies. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nancy Adams; twin brother, Johnnie Adams and wife Linda; daughters; Cara Henderson and husband Paul, and Lanae Gwin; aunt Juanita Loyd; and grandkids, Abigail Gonzales, Allen Henderson and wife Samantha, Reilly Gwin, Laura Henderson, Mikaylee Gwin and Paxtyn Gwin; great grandkids; Teghan Gonzales, Saydi Henderson, Zoey Gonzales, Sophie Henderson, Easton Gonzales, Ryker Gwin, Tallen Henderson and Rhylan Buck. He was preceded in death by his parents and son – in – law, Terry Gwin. In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorial donations be made to the Terry Gwin Memorial Scholarship Fund, 2412 Lockwood, Tahoka, Texas 79373 A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Tahoka, Texa. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
