Debra Joy Thompson, 68, of Lubbock, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024. She was born on July 3, 1955 in Amarillo, Texas to Frances Loreda Early. Debra worked in numerous salons in town, as a hairstylist for over 30 years. She loved her job, and meeting new people, her clients were more like family to her, she was a social butterfly. Debra was a TOPS member, she enjoyed going to her group meetings and even went to numerous conventions. She loved her family, and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also known for her love of shopping, that throughout the years she enjoyed online shopping Facebook marketplace, she was always finding good deals. You always found her with a coke with white ice in her hands, it was her favorite drink.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Michelle Harmon (Isaac Chavez), Dawn Harmon (Billy Jefferson); siblings, Kay Elliott (Steve), James Voyles, Adam Hilzer; grandchildren, Billy, Cierra, Jaylon, Miah, Caasi; great-grandchildren, Ja'Layah, and Aurora; numerous nieces and nephews.

Debra was proceeded in death by her parents, Marshall and Frances Voyles; niece, Dana Dodson; nephew, AJ Hilzer.

A family gathering to Celebrate the life of Debra was held on Saturday, May 11, 2024. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
