Daniel Vasquez, Sr.

Daniel Vasquez, Sr, 72, of Lubbock passed away on Wednesday September 2, 2026. He was born on October 12, 1953 in Slaton, Texas to Juan Vasquez, Sr and Frances (Segura) Vasquez. Daniel married Maria Guadalupe Medellin on August 23, 1974, together they had 47 wonderful years together until her passing in June of 2022. Daniel loved to spend time with his family, they would go to the flea markets and garage sales on the weekends and then home to watch his favorite sports team play ball. He enjoyed watching Texas Tech Football, Lakers basketball, and most of all the Dallas Cowboys. He also loved listening to classic rock while he was cooking out with the family.

Those left to cherish his loving memory are his children, Nicole Vasquez, and Daniel Vasquez, Jr; mother, Frances Vasquez; siblings, Juan Vasquez, Jr., Mary Harris and husband Bill, Jesse Vasquez and Danny Vasquez.

Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Vasquez, Sr., and his wife 47 years, Maria Guadalupe Vasquez.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. with a funeral services beginning at 2:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral home Chapel, 1928 34th Street, Lubbock, Texas, 79411. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home, Lubbock, Texas.
