Cynthia "Cindy" Robertson, 84, of Rockdale passed away on May 6, 2025. She was born May 27, 1940 to Edward and Ora (Armstrong) Smith in Comanche, Texas.

Cindy worked in the Income Tax Industry, becoming an Enrolled Agent in 1977. She eventually purchased and for the past 22 years had worked in her own H&R Block offices. Cindy was an avid reader, created beautiful cross stitch pieces, loved birds and especially hummingbirds. She also loved to travel, looking forward to the annual "girls' trip" with her daughter Kelly and others; always planning the next trip by the end of the current one.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband James "Jim" Gerdeman, brothers Dalton and Oatis Smith, sister Bertha Nettles and son, Arthur Johnson.

Remaining and already missing her deeply are sisters Bonnie Brookey of Edmond, OK, and Joyce Hunt of Lubbock, daughter Kelly (James) Pinion of Lubbock and James' sister Brenda Cunningham of Tulsa, daughter-in-law Bridget Johnson and grandsons Brian and Bryce Johnson, all of Bryan, and several nieces and nephews.

Private family service will be held at a later date. Entombment will be at Wilsons' Funeral Directors & Cemetery, 920 Hwy 62/82 Frontage Road and Loop 193, Wolfforth, TX 79382, under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home, Lubbock, Texas.
