Corey James Berry of Lubbock passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at the age of 17 years old. He was born on June 12, 2005, to Jennifer Cochran. Corey attended Frenship High School and was excited about being a Jr. this upcoming school year. He loved to walk any and everywhere he went. He was a giving and loving young man who was known to make anyone's sad day better. There is absolutely no other person to compare him too. He was just the happiest Kid there ever was! Those left to cherish his memory are his parents Josh and Jennifer Cochran; siblings, Allie Berry, James Curry, Kyndul Jefferies, Brodie Cochran, McKenna Cochran, and Samuel Cochran; grandfather, Martin Lathey; aunts and uncles, Dorothy Brimingham, James Brimingham, Abigail and Lukus Thompkins, Amber and Mike Vasquez, Jamie Lathey, Nick Hansen; several cousins, extended family and a lot of friends. Corey was welcomed home by his nanny and best friend Dorothy Lathey, also awaiting was his great-great grandmother, Rosilee Floyd; great-great grandfather, Theodore Lathery; two great aunts, Michelle Hixon and Kitty Lathey and uncle, Scott Duniven. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Celebration of life services will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Heart of Worship Church, 19101 FM 1730, Lubbock, Texas 79424, Pastor, Phillip Brown will be officiating. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
