Cenaido Zapata, 85, of Lubbock passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022. He was born on July 3, 1937, to Remijio and Petra (Ortiz) Zapata in New Braunfels, Texas. He married Dolores Contreras on July 3, 1971, in Plainview, Texas and together they began their family. He had an outgoing personality and loved listen to music, however Spanish music was his favorite. He enjoyed watching baseball and admiring classic cars.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Dolores Zapata; daughter, Alice Zapata; two sisters, Petra Gutierrez, and Mary Helen Rosales; several nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

Cenaido was preceded in death by his parents, Remijio and Petra Zapata, and six siblings.

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
