Cathy (Lovato) Torres, 66, of Lubbock passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025. She was born on October 13, 1958 in Idalou, Texas to Trinidad and Juanita (Garza) Lovato. Cathy was always there to help anyone in need no matter what their situation was, she was a people person, and loved to make people laugh and was a very happy person herself.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Melanie Torres and husband J.R. Mendez, Lawrence Isaac Torres, Andy Jacob Torres and wife Jessica, Lorenzo Torres, Angelic Munoz and husband Antonio, Stevieleigh Garcia, and Jimmy Lee Garcia and wife Jamie; 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; siblings; Melissa Arballo and husband Ramon, Elmer Gallegos, Adam Lovato and wife Kathy, Sammy Lovato and wife Sandy, George Lovato, Jason Lovato and wife Leticia, and Mark Lovato; and several extended family and friends.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents Trinidad and Juanita Lovato; siblings Trinidad Lovato, Johnny Lovato, Sylvia Lovato, Jackie Oseguera, Trinidad Lovato, Rudy Lovato, and Ruben Lovato; and grandson, Ruben Torres.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with the rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
