Carolyn Pecina, a lifelong resident of Lubbock, Texas passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at the age of 56. She was born on September 29, 1966 in Lubbock, to Luis Pecina and Lidia Lira. She was very creative and crafty and was known to be very fashion forward with her daughters. Carolyn had a very big heart and loved family time, especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children; Savannah Cruz and husband Jesse Thompson, Joe Cruz and wife Alexus Bresino, Marina Garza, and Christina Colley and husband Rickey; mother, Lidia Lira; siblings, Amanda Contreras and husband Peter, Lorrie Binford and husband Thanay, Virginia Garcia and husband Jason, Michael Streat and wife Aida, Sylvia Oliva, Ruby Gromek, JoAnn Davila and husband Jesus, and Delia Collazo.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Luis Pecina and her husband, Joe Cruz.

Celebration of life services will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Freedom Baptist Church, 302 40th Street, Lubbock, Texas. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
