Bobbie Jean Kelly

Bobbie Jean Kelly, 67, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026, in Wolfforth, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. She celebrated her 68th birthday in the arms of Jesus. She was born in Amarillo, Texas, on February 21, 1958, to Bobby and Estella (Carey) Nelson. She loved spending time traveling, camping, and fishing, she taught her family how to fish.  Her family was very important to her and she was "crazy' about her grandchildren for sure. Bobbie was know to be the family "handyman", she could fix anything.  Bobbie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She will be missed by everyone that knew her. 

Those left to cherish her loving memory are her children, Rhonda Nelson Skinner, Renae Yvonne Kelly, and Hamilton Davis Kelly and his wife Tina; siblings, Glendell Oages, Debra Poindexter, Bobby Nelson, Jr., and Michael Nelson, and her loving grandchildren. 

Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby and Estella Nelson.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church, 1215 N Hughes St, Amarillo, Texas 79107, burial will follow in the Llano Cemetery, 2900 S. Hayes St, Amarillo, Texas 79103.
