Benito Christoval Medellin, Sr., 59 of Lubbock passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021. He was born on June 28, 1962, in Lorenzo, Texas to Gregorio and Maria Elisa (Chavarria) Medellin. He married Ruby Vasquez on August 30, 1986, in Lubbock and together they begin their lives. He loved to watch sports; however, the New England Patriots were his favorite. Benito loved his family time; he loved the cookouts and the time well spent with each member of his family. He may be gone but will not be forgotten. Those left to cherish his memory are his Wife, Ruby Medellin; four children, Monica Talamantez and husband Joseph, Benito Medellin, Jr., Steven Medellin, and Sara Medellin; five siblings, Guadalupe Vasquez, Juanita Lara, Gregorio Medellin, Jr. Anita Medellin, and Selia Medellin and six grandchildren; and several extended family and friends. Benito is preceded in death by his parents, Gregorio and Maria Elisa Medellin, and one sister, Dolores Mendez. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home. Celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation services under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
