Benito "Bene" Garcia, 80, of Lubbock, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 12, 1940 in Robstown, Texas to Jose and Anita (Rodriguez) Garcia. He married Margarita "Margie" Garza in Muleshoe, Texas on November 22, 1957, and together they began their lives. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Margie Garcia; children, Bene Garcia, Jr. and wife Irene, Tony Garcia and wife Patricia, Bobby Garcia, Ernest Garcia, Mary Angel Rojas and husband Hector, Arthur Garcia and wife Lynn, Leo Garcia, Ruben Garcia and wife Christie, Jimmy Garcia and Patricia Galindo; 24 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; sister, Carmen Carbrea and brother, Armando Garcia. Bene is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Anita Garcia and his father -in -law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Garza; four siblings, Rosa, Anita, Joe and Adolfo. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. with rosary being recited at 7:00 P.M. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. At San Ramon Catholic Church with burial to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
