Basilia Gutierrez, 89, of Lubbock passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022, in her home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on June 14, 1932, in Fredericksburg, Texas to Nicholas and Anita (Navarro) Rodriguez. She married the love of her life, Augustino Gutierrez on January 22, 1950, and together they began their family. She was catholic by faith. Those left to cherish her memory are her seven children, Eufemia Gutierrez, Librado Gutierrez, Frank Gutierrez, Juan Gutierrez, Paul Gutierrez, Edward Gutierrez, and Teresa Gomez; and 27 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren. Basilia was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Augustino Gutierrez; three children, Jenoveva, Daniel and Augustino, Jr.; parents, Nicholas and Anita Rodriguez. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m.at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at St. Patrick Catholic Church with burial to follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park, Woodrow, Texas
