Augustine Garcia, Jr, 75, of Big Spring, Texas passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023. He was born on August 31, 1947, in Motley County, Texas to Augustine Garcia, Sr. and Margie Baron Garcia. He graduated from Spur High School in the 1960's. Augustine loved music, he played the trumpet for some local Marichi groups, and he toured with the Los Jovenes in the 1970's. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church where he served as a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Celeste Ramirez and husband Daniel; stepson, Sal Garcia and wife Anita; grandchildren, Jacob, Monica, Sal, III and Zoie Garcia; stepsisters, Terri Sims, Sonya Brown, Katrina Perez, Saprina Robinson, Anya Garcia, and Mary Ann Padilla, and several extended family members.

Augustine was preceded in death by his parents, Augustine Garcia, Sr., and Margie Garcia; wife, Irmalinda Garcia; stepdaughter Melinda Garcia; stepbrothers, Angel Gonzales and Dominica Garcia.

Rosary will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. with Mass following at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 402 E. 6th Street, Spur, Texas. Inurnment will follow at the family Cemetery, Garcia Ranch. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
