Anthony "Tony" Solis, 55, of Lubbock passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021, surrounded by the ones he loved. He was born on March 25, 1966 to Octaviano Toby and Helena (Martinez) Solis in San Antonio, Texas. He was a graduate of Estacado High School and went on to serve our country for 10 years in the United States Army Reserves. He married Amy Quintero on June 8, 1992 in Lubbock, Texas and together they began their lives. Tony was an avid supporter of the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Tech Red Raiders. His family time was very important to him. He had a very special 'Best Friend", Kayne Anthony Schwartz, his grandson, they enjoyed morning coffee together to get their days started off just right. His favorite past time was "Sunday Funday" a day for family and fun.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Amy Solis, children: Anthony "Big Tony" Solis and wife Savannah, Cecilia Schwartz and husband Josh and Caleb Anthony Solis all of Lubbock, two grandchildren: Kayne Anthony and Joslynn Schwartz, siblings; Troy Solis and partner Mike of San Antonio, Joy Solis and husband David of Lubbock, Jesse Delgado and wife Enriquetta of Lubbock, John Chavez of San Antonio and Royce Quintero and wife Sophia of Lubbock and several extended family members.
Tony is preceded in death by his parents, Octaviano Toby and Helena (Martinez) Solis, three sisters: JoAnn Delgado, Rosemary C. Mendoza and Georgia C. Ramirez.
The Solis family would like to express their heartfelt thank you to Jeff, Maria and the staff of Angelo Kidney Connection for the care that they extended to Tony, also to UMC Home Health and Hospice for their care and compassion during Tony's final days. One last thank you is extended out to Sophia Quintero and Savannah Solis, they were our rock in taking care of some of the final details to honor Tony, so that we as a family could spend as much time as possible with him, during his finial days.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, from 11:00 A.M. – 9:00 P.M. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel, with a prayer services being held at 7:00 P.M. Celebration of life services will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at11:00 A.M. at Aldersgate Church with military honors to follow. Cremation services under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home, Lubbock, Texas.
The family request that the attire of the day be "Sunday Funday", so wear your teams colors.
