Anna Marie Mendez, a lifelong resident of Lubbock, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at the age of 48. She was born on September 30, 1974, in Lubbock to Jesse and Gloria (Martinez) DeLeon. Anna Marie married Isaac Mendez on November 12, 1991, in Lubbock and together they began their family. She enjoyed traveling and motorcycle rides. Anna Marie loved spending time with her family and friends, she babysat them, attended their school activities and even cheered them on at their sporting events. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband: Isaac Mendez; children, Cassandra Marie Mendez and husband Eric Salas, Rudy Ramirez, and John Patrick "JP" Morales; Mother, Gloria Martinez; sisters, Leandra DeLeon and husband Sergio Vega and Jessica DeLeon and husband Christopher; grandchildren, Levi, Adalyn, E.J. and Viviana; grandmother, Julie DeLeon and several nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.

Anna Marie was preceded in death by her father Jesse DeLeon; grandparents, Antonio Martinez, Beatrice Teneyque and Dionico DeLeon.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service being held at 7:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023. sat 2:00 p.m. at Lubbock Dream Center with Pastor Josh Ramirez officiating. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park, Woodrow, Texas
