With heavy hearts, we share that Andy Narvais, 90, passed away peacefully at his home on June 21, 2026, held in friendship and love by his longtime friend and caregiver, Alma Manriquez, and another dear friend who was with him.
Born in Frentress, Texas, Andy planted his roots deep in Lamesa, spending most of his 90 years farming the West Texas soil. He was married for a time to Beth Ann in Cuidad Acuña, Mexico, who passed away in 1987.
But his true harvest was people — Andy never met a stranger. If you walked into a room with him, you’d soon be laughing over a game of pool or dominoes, out on the floor dancing, or trying your luck at the slots.
Put on the classics and Andy could tell you every singer before the first chorus ended. His love of movies was legendary — just ask about his collection. And through it all, his faith in God was his compass.
In the words Andrés lived by: "Let's take life one day at a time!"
Andy leaves behind his devoted friend Alma Manriquez; sister-in-law Elvira Narvais of Lubbock; and several nieces, nephews, and countless friends who became family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Beth Ann, and several family members.
A graveside service to honor Andy’s life will be held at a later date.
Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home, Brownfield, Texas.
The family and Alma wish to express heartfelt thanks to everyone who was part of Andy’s life and helped make it bearable. Your kindness, friendship, and love meant the w to him.
