Amanda Marie Leal, 40, of Lubbock, passed away on December 26, 2021. She was born on December 16, 1981 to Raul and Martha (Contreras) Leal, Jr. in Lubbock, Texas. Amanda was born a fighter, a preemie baby that doctors said would not survive passed 5 years old. Well, she proved them wrong, she went on to live a wonderful life with her family. Amanda graduated from Monterey High School in the late 1990's. She was an avid 49er's fan and loved to play her online bingo. Amanda had a special heart, she was a giver, and so loving. When she wasn't picking on her nieces and nephews, she was probably enjoying her online shopping sprees, or reading a good book. Amanda will be missed by many, but she will be an "Angel not forgotten" forever. Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Martha Leal; sister, Julie Leal; nieces and nephews, Niqui Leal, Miranda Leal, Torie Infante, Isaiah Leal, Timothy Leal, Jr., Xavier Leal, Isabella Leal; great-nieces and nephews, Alannia Lopez, Adrian Infante, Liliana Leal. Amanda was preceded in death by her father, Raul Leal, Jr.; brothers, Matt Leal and Timothy Leal, Sr. Services are pending at this time. Cremation is under the care of House of Angels Funeral Home.
