Alvin P. Luera, 81, of Brownfield passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024. He was born in Yorktown, Texas on July 11, 1943, to Jose and Ambrosia (Perez) Luera. He married the love of his life, Paula Arguellez on July 11, 1963, in Lamesa, Texas, and they began their lives together. Alvin was a local cotton farmer, and was a very loveable man, he would do anything for anyone, he was "Mr. Fixer Upper", but it was fixed "his" way. Alvin enjoyed working in his yard and fighting roosters. He loved spending time with his family, his grandchildren and great grandchildren put the twinkle in his eyes.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, Paula Luera; children, Sandra Villarreal, Arcelia Nerios and husband Ricky, and Jessie Luera and wife Amber; siblings, Abelino Luera, Porfiria Hernandez and husband Fidel, Paula Rios, and Maggie Perez; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Ambrosia Luera; two sons, Alvino Luera, Jr. and Ricky Luera and one brother, Victor Luera.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service being held at 6:00p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel, 1211 Lubbock Rd, Brownfield, Tx. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 2:00p.m. at Templo Betel, 905 S. 5th St, Brownfield, Tx., with Santos Gamez officiating, burial will follow at the Brownfield Cemetery.
