Alicia (Lujan) Garcia, 81, of Lubbock passed away on Saturday October 31, 2020. She was born on August 29, 1939in Fresnillo, Zacatecas, Mexico to Refugio and Francisca (Jaramillo) Lujan. She married Gonzalo Garcia in March of 1960 and together they began their family. Alicia was very proud of her faith; she was a member of San Ramon Catholic Church where she served her church and community with love and honor. She assisted with the choir, prayer group and reciting the rosary for funerals. She loved to cook for family gatherings, tending to her rose garden, doing word searches and talking on the phone to her family. Alicia was a very selfless person, always putting others needs in front of her own. She will be greatly missed and forever loved. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband: Gonzalo Garcia, five children; Letica Garcia, Refugio Garcia, Aurora Romero, Irene Garcia and Gonzalo Garcia, Jr. one brother: Manuel Lujan, 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Alicia was preceded in death by her parents, and three siblings: Jesus Martinez, Margarita Lujan, and Jose Lujan. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel with rosary being recited at 7:30 pm. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 11:45 am at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice.
