Alfredo Ybarra, Sr., 83, of Petersburg passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021, in Lubbock. He was born on April 19, 1937 in Eagle Pass, Texas to the late Primitivo and Isabel (Garcia) Ybarra. Alfredo was known as a "Jack of all trades", he was a pig farmer, ran the local fireworks stand, and was an avid wrestling fan. "Monday Night Raw" was a scheduled event around his home every week. He never let his family "want or need" anything, he never had an unkind word to say about anyone. Alfredo will be missed by all that knew him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Erminia Ybarra, Isabel "Nelly" Ybarra, Mary Ann Griffin and her husband Russell, Alfredo Ybarra, Jr. and his wife Patty; two brothers, Alejandro Ybarra and Armando Ybarra; 12 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Alfredo was preceded in death by his wife, Rita (Lara) Ybarra; son, Juan Jesus "JJ" Ybarra; siblings, Beatrice, Victoria, Arturo and Pablo.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 from 5:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. with the rosary being recited at 7:00 P.M. at House of Angels Funeral Home Chapel of Lubbock. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Petersburg Cemetery, in Petersburg, Texas
