Adela Hernandez, 71, of Lubbock, went to be in her heavenly home on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, surrounded by family. She was born on September 10, 1951 in Charlotte, Texas to the late Manuel & Anita Gonzales. Adela was such a faithful woman who loved spending her time studying the bible. She enjoyed many things in life, but most importantly was family time, especially family time fishing and camping. Labor day was the family camping holiday for many years. Adela was a loving, caring, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, David; children, Sebastian Vasquez, Emilio Gutierrez, Freddie Gutierrez, Joe Ray Gutierrez, April Gutierrez, Connie Gutierrez, Alexandria Estrada, Zaden Estrada, & JT Estrada; siblings, Bertha Gonzalez, Armando Gonzales, Manuel Gonzales; 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.

Adela was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel & Anita Gonzales; sister, Alicia Camacho; and nephew, Ernest Gonzales.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at LifePoint Baptist Church with Pastor Richard Harbison officiating. Cremation services are under the direction of House of Angels Funeral Home.
